The death of your first car can be a traumatic experience, but should be a celebration! After taking the seat belts from my car, shortly before she was towed to the scrap yard, I kept the seatbelts in memory. These redundant seatbelts have been re-incarnated and recycled to create garments.
I am fascinated by ideas of recycling and love altering purpose and function.
This project 'Strange and Sudden Surrenders' investigates what this material is capable of.
